Hi,
Vampire fish would eat and/or stress bigger silver arowana?
true or false?

if you are refering to hyrdolycus sp. then it would depend on the species.

scombs and tats wouldnt be an issue. cynos and raphs might bugg the aro due to thier skittish nature.

and as for an armatus it would be hit and miss. some do fine with aros others cause havok.

Mine was ok with the Aro (silver), I know othersaren't so lucky though.

imo - false as far as Payara eating or stressing a larger arow. Other way around is the risk.

I agree

99% of the time with hydrolycus sp. as a whole the aro would kill them or cause enough stress and disease would be the culprit.

thats what i meant to imply. ive had raphs and cynos in the tank as an adolescent black aro that just couldnt take the buggin anymore and finally lashed out. the aro was a normaly peaceful fish.

ive never had an issue with tats, at all, with anything. scombs ive had in the past were okay as far as skittishness, but ive heard of others having drasctially different experience.

but yes. i would 100% worry about an armatus and any kind of glossy aro. it would be hit and miss, and i personally am trying it currently (both fish are 4" juvies) but dont have the highest hopes.

I have kept them both and I would never put any of my fish with my silver arow after I saw it swallow a 10" hoplias and throw it back up dead when it was 22". I raised them both at the same time from about 4 ", I sold it at 24" because it wouldn't stop growing, My brother was feeding it pork chops because nothing would satisfy it. It was out of control. I won't get another one. I had no idea back then what I was getting into.
