The spot at the end of the opercle is too large to be a scomb and the adipose and caudal would be the same color if they were tats.
 
its a tat IMO.
looks at the size and shape of head.
plus the adipose matches the tail,and the tail isnt very big.

havent been to that aquarium in a long time.
i wonder how itll be when i go back in a few years.

definitely a tentacled snake and it is a caecilian (sp?), not a siren.

ya, you're probably right. The caudal fins aren't really red like I thought.
