Vanished!!!!!???

ok i had a small pleco in my 10 gallon tank he has been in there for about a month now and was fine never had any problems i recently put my pair of convicts in the tank to breed after they were done i took the male and put him back in his original tank and left the female with the baby convicts BUT now my pleco has vanished!! she never messed with him before but now he is GONE!! with no trace of him any were no head no nothing so i dont think she ate him.. SO my question is has any had any case like mine and has anyone heard of plecos jumping out of there tanks???? i do have a hood and light but it has a hole at the back that is about 8 inches across.
any ideas what happened to my pleco?

probably jumped.
happens all the time.

Yeah look around the tank the pleco probably jumped out. The cons were probably harrassing the pleco and he bailed.

If you have a HOB filter, look in there.

ok thank you i looked around the tank but i didnt see him but that dont mean that one of my cats may have already picked it up and ate it but thanks everyone i had a feeling that that was what happened

aww man death by cat lol now i feel worse for him. well if ur cats didnt get him and u dont find him if he did jump u will know within a day or 2 unfortunatly from the smell tho lol

i had sum long fins vanish on me befor
i fond thim in the filter

well i have a stingray filter which is completely submerged and the fish cant get in it unless they are like fry size even then they would get stopped by the first sponge filter

My 7" common opened up the food latch once, on one of his anger jumps when the acara ticks him off. He then seised the moment and landed on my confused dog, who was then escorted from the area while the pleco was put back in the tank.
