Somewere in the world
I have quite the dilemma, i set up my 90G again for a new stocklist, and its an open top tank, i filled it up, and overnight 1/4 of the water was gone, i thought i was evaporation, so i refilled it and put a piece of glass on top, i come home from school, and about 1/5 is gone, but no water on the glass... so no evaporation... i was thinking it might be the driftwood i have, it was dried out, could it be absorbing the water as it becomes water logged? :nilly:

I don't think a log can suck up 22 gallons, plus another 20ish....you sure you don't have a leak somewhere? that's a LOT of water to lose.

1st time 25%? 2nd time 20%? If I read you correct......YOU HAVE A LEAK!

POsitive, the carpet around it is very dry.... unless its a VERY slow leak, like a drop every 10 min, i dont think so... plus i think i would realize 22 gallons of water on my carpet.

??? 22 gallons doesn't just evaporate in one day! Is somebody messing with the tank? Messing with you?

Oh man, how weird! i just took a closer look.... my airline hose was somehow back siphoning and slowly puring out of the pump, i had it turned off because i didnt want to agitate the water to much, so it created a suction and sucked out the water...

Do you have a camel? :p!!!!

That is most odd. Have you checked the stand/wall behind the tank? Perhaps the sheetrock is absorbing it. . . or it is running elsewhere. Thats kind of funny though man. Hope it is not something serious.
