Varanus Salvator Marmoratus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They dont get much bigger than 6 foot... they are more like cumingi .... mainland waters get up to 11 foot if i recall that being the record for them. So yes they would be alot easier to house than a normal salvator or a nile monitor for that matter.

The smallest locales for Salvators are the phillipine type
Cumingi
Nuchalis
Marmoratus
The Sulawesi species like the speckeled and then the Togian.... every other locale gets huge.

Ok, I thought your guy might be related to a water monitor. I've always wanted one, I just don't have the means to keep one at this time. I guess you live someplace warm so you can keep them outdoors most of the year.

Whoa! That is sooo cool. I think its a better choice for captivity then a salvator salvator, as those are just beastly! 6ft isnt that bad though. Way cool, now I want one!

They are related to water monitors theyre just an island form that stays much smaller.

he is great looking...good gracious he's beautiful

OMG OMG OMG OMG lovely looking varanus..

I need to move to florida! That way I can keep all the herps I want in outdoor enclosures. Not enough room in the house for everything I am wanting someday. Thanks alot for the pics. Very cool.

Good luck being raped by the real-estate, AttackFish. ;)

Beautiful specimens as always, varanio.
