Variegated Shark? Rare?

We have Variegated Sharks at the store I work at. I was thinking about getting one.

Feeder tanks is how I find some interesting oddballs, yes.

$20 is what the variegated sharks are going for, in Maryland.

Only thing I have ever got from feeder tanks is Crays.

We just got one in the store today! I dont know how rare it is but its never on the list and the first time we brought one in for years. Didnt know they look like that when they grow up, pretty cool!

Do all Osteo. wandersii have red fins? Mine have clear fins, but otherwise looks pretty much alike.

The waandersii do have red fins so if yours are clear, it isn't one of those. Do you have a pic of your fish?

Also, if that is in fact what I have, are they rare? Max size?

Max size is around 8". Not seen very often over here in the UK, no idea about availability in the States. I found mine in a tank full of flying foxes.
