You should reply, with "your ad should read, bigger tank needed". This is the type of person that gives our hobby a bad name, i.e. releasing fish that get too big into local water ways. :screwy:
 
I sent him an email basically saying the things you guys have said in this thread so far
 
so everyone else around the country gets sweet deals on tanks on craigslist, we get people asking for free fish to overstock tanks....

i wonder how many community fish he put in there before he realized that the oscar was eating them.

Well aren't you an ASS. If you want to educate people you need to take a new approach. Since we lost our other fish we have been to our regular fish store, and surfed the net, and were told that we needed a 2nd fish so that this one wouldn't be lonely. We were also advised that it needed to be his same size so he wouldn't eat it. They are aware of our tank size. We were unable to find an Oscar, or compatible at the fish store that is why we decided to try Craig's list. We care about this fish, you get attached when you raise one from a baby and feed it daily for 4 years. Get off your damn soap box JERK.

its not like oscars are fast moving fish who love to dart around
