Yeah I posted a reply message trying to mention some of the reasons why not to keep two Oscars in such a small tank.

here it is:

I believe that you do not need another Oscar. The reason being that an adult Oscar can and should grow to 16". Taking into consideration size and bio-load an Oscar should have at least a 75g tank (48"x18"x24") Why would you want to put two Oscars into such a small tank? Furthermore I keep fish and a 4 year old Oscar should be much bigger than that which says something about the conditions in which they are living. Please take into consideration that in the wild fish have so much freedom of movement. While we subject them to tiny cells in captivity we owe them the bare minimum.

its not like oscars are fast moving fish who love to dart around

No they don't like to dart around but I'm sure they like to swim. Keep in mind that that Oscar is 4, yes 4, years old @ 9inches that says something.

I do apologize if you interpreted that as racist, I'm part Russian and lived there back when it was the USSR although I don't remember it. So, I was in no way trying to say Russians like to stuff Oscars into cells beyond capacity.
