For all of you currently keeping vatf post some updated pics.... how long have u had your vatf ?..... growth rate?....tank size?.....current size of fish and diet?

Ive had my vatf for 3 months and he has grown from 4.5/5 inches to 8
Hes in a 220

He eats mostly cichlid pellets MP and carnivore floatimg sticks

Ill post pics tom when lights are on
 
That is OUTSTADING growth for an ATF. Normal 'good' growth is a half an inch per month.

Quick question though: are these measurements with a ruler or with your eyes?
 
I never saw it in person when he first got it but eyeballing its a thick probably 7-8" the last time I saw it a few weeks ago
 
Eyeballing but I always guess on the shorter end since eyeballing usually makes you think the fish is an inch bigger than it actually is ..... My guess was from chin to tip of the curved tail..... I'll try to remind myself to post pics Tom..... My camera sucks and we all know these guys barely stay still lol but I'll try to get a few good ones
