How can you people eat dead animal flesh?? The animals live their entire lives in tiny little enclosures until one day they get killed. All for your tastebuds.chickens get their beaks burnt off with hot irons. Pigs get their teeth ripped out.All of them get castrated and this is all done without painkillers. My question is why cause uneeded pain to a helpless animal. Their are large varieties of soymeat nowadays that all taste quite good.
If your going to start rambling on about how we need to keep the animal population in check then think again, we breed these animals for the sole purpose of eating them.

i dont see any reason why not to eat them, if i ever have to slaughter an animal because i get lost in the forest and havent eaten for days ill try my best to kill it nice and quick just for you.

but forget steak and brisket, soylent green is where its at.

You know something.
I never knew what they did to those animals except that it was delicious.
AND IT STILL IS!

the execution of these animals is not bad at all. i used to live close to a slaughter house out in the country. The cows would have a nail type thing driven into there skull. so they would go brain dead. Then they were drained of fluids. and then shipped to butchers.

Food
Chain

If god didn't want us to eat animals he wouldn't have made them out of meat.

Keep in mind that plants live too. Just because it can't yelp when you pluck it doesn't mean You're not killing.

In order to survive, you have to kill something else.

(I'll give credit to 2 the ranting gryphon for part of the phrasing)

Back in college I pulled off veganism for just over a year. Ultimately I went back to meat-eating because of the intense amount of flak I took from my family and my gf's family. I didn't go veg because of any moral stance on eating meat, I did it just to prove I could do it. Actually, I didn't miss meat much at all, and still rarely eat meat more than twice a week.

The two things I did miss were sausage (mmm ...) and seafood (I missed it bad considering I'm from south Louisiana). Stick with your convictions. It's worth it to yourself.

And steak is just too chewy. A good salad is wonderful, as are braised asparagus.

You have never had a good steak:)

Let me know if you're ever in central IN.

I don't want to sound like I have a problem with people who chose not to eat meat (for whatever reason), because I couldn't really care less.
What I do have a problem with is the people who have a problem with me eating meat.

Ugh! Steak is too much work! ;) Besides, who down here needs to eat steak when we have oysters & crawfish! My wife LOVES steak. I tire of going to steak places only to eat sad seafood plates and the salad bar ...
