hello! Any suggestions about best vegetable based fish pellets in the market? I'm planning to cut down from giving high protein pellets such as humpy head and okiko platinum. my 5-6 inches flowerhorn seems to have anal prolapse right after eating which resolves after few minutes. And this is alarming for me that's why I am asking for any suggestions based on your own experiences regarding good vegetable-based fish food? Thanks a lot!

Peas might help--you can always make your own frozen food for him. get the greens you want chop it up good add whatever chopped up protein you want pour boiling water over it and freeze - they also have seaweed mixes and spirulina powder.

Okay I'll grab some peas and green veggies then I'll do what you said! Thank you again!

It's all good I've been there. I had a midevil with bloat so bad I had to resort to Epsom salt. That's when I started making my own food. 20 dollars a bag for a gamble -Or know exactly what you're feeding your fish? - Now the trick is getting him off of junk food - Good luck!

Yes you are right. It is much better to prepare my own fish food, hence a balance diet. I started already with epsom salt. I have read it is a sort of laxative. Maybe I'll use it for 5 days becasue he had episodes of passing out white stringy poop. Then maybe at least once a month from then on. It's like a preventive measure. You too good luck!

Nah don't waste your time with that. The bath really doesn't work. Gotta catch them and take a turkey baster with your Epsom salt/water solution force it into it's mouth and empty it gently.
-kinda drastic only use it if you have to -it does work though I saved her

Ah i see... he is still eating. Maybe i will try to soak the fish pellets in epsom salt/ water solution then give it to him. Hope it will work! Thanks for the info.
Happy to hear that it worked in your fish.
