My argentea won't touch them. We have lettuce out the ass in the garden right now too.

Is there any nutrition in lettuce?

I read that pearsei diet is almost exclusively veggies in the wild. They have long digestive tracks.... I guess fiber etc is another thing...


Why don't we make this a "fish-eat-veggie" picture thread . Anybody?

Still want to keep some SAs - some eatheaters (a balzanii trio, some Geos and daemons) and perpahs a few severums. But these CA guys are really fun to keep

By the time you and Ken and others get back from the collecting trip, I'd probably swing back to SA again

Romaine lettuce is supposed to be the best nutrution, and iceberg is supposed to be a no no due to some sort of antiherbavore toxin in it ... at least that is what I've read in older books/articles by Dr. Loiselle and Dr. Leibel.

i won't even eat iceburg anymore.. very little nutrition.. the greener a veggie is the better nutrition..

I haven't tried other veggies yet. Will offer some cucumbers, zucchini etc soon. These guys really love it - my other fish only eat the green part of romaine, but these guys finish everything in minutes
