well dubia roaches are apparently easy to breed (i havent kept them personally) and they cant climb glass, so here in the states they are the preferred species for breeding for reptile food, you have it readily available and dont have to worry about them climbing out of the cage and getting in to your house, i just could never get over the fact of purposely having roaches in your house even if i know intellectually that they couldnt escape lol

Lol exactly not to mention my fiance hates every thing I bring in the house.. I already have to sneak frozen mice in the deep freezer roaches would be hard to explain

Chuckwallas are super cool but dont seem good for a "beginner" too huge.. I feel in love with crested geckos tho and I'm looking for some online as we speak..

Crested gecko would be my #1 recommendation for a "vegetarian" lizard (as others have already stated). I do have one crestie who gets a lot of joy out of eating bugs once or twice a week, so if you fall in love with one, it might be a good source of enrichment for them.

Leachianus (or "leachie") geckos and gargoyle geckos are two others that thrive on two-part crested gecko diet nectar diet, such as Repashy's.
