My brother is looking for a pair and wanted to know what's a reasonable price for each one.
Price per size?
thanks!

around me you can get 3" for about 12$ at a few lfs

Obviously the smaller they are the cheaper they are. You can find 1"ers for $5 ea. But getting a pair is like rolling the dice. Even at 5-6" iding them are very difficult if at all, and a 6" goes for $50+. If your looking to buy a pair already proven and mated, now your looking at $150 or more, depending on size. I believe Gage just sold a WC pair of Argentea. Here is a link to it. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/f...eja-argentea-New-Port-Richey-FL-SHIP-ANYWHERE!

Yeah i seen that really nice! my lfs around me has just a wc male at 12" for $150 another lfs has 2-3" babys for $50! Does the bigger out of the group is most likely a male?

Is the bigger ones out of the group most likely male?* lol sorry about my bad grammer my girls playing korean music and its trippen me out hahaha

You would like to think so, but not always. I bought 3 at 2" that way, I have 3 males that are 7-8" now. Now trying to get a female at 5-7" is not going to be cheap.

Females are harder to get? Hows there growing rate?

Well Gage sold the male for 150 and the pair was 180. So I would say, males are more expensive. (once you know you have one)

I cant believe you split them up.:cry:

IMO, best to buy them small and grow them out. I would say get six at 2" and try to form a pair. This way you get the joy of watching them grow and you don't spend $150-$200 for a pair.
