Holy moly that does look like a different substrate :ROFL:makes me glad both my female firemouth in the 75 and these angels are a bit choosier. Is she a Parrot fish finwin? I can only see her peeking there.

Yup, like Shadow says. Has a mouthful of teeth and is hyper aggressive, though she's a bit more mellow during water changes now. I'm grateful she's gotten good at cleaning up her stuff...one time she had so many eggs they were falling out as she swam!

She's watching me work on her tank here. I was doing new aquascaping since she'd ripped up some of the silk plants. You can see her teeth in this shot.

my mom saw the photo over my shoulder and now thinks she is in love with parrots almost as much as angels. (we have 5 aquariums, 1 of them is for baby firemouths, 1 community tank, 2 angelfish aquariums (one for spare angels that get chased around too much), and 1 firemouth species only tank.) They really are like potato chips, can't stop. ?

May of figured the sexes out for 3 of the angels in the tank above, the plat and a veiled both have similar parts and i am pretty sure are males. 91F19412-CA60-4B5D-B904-C51D5A675A1C.jpegD49E8A9E-2180-486D-AD10-1EBAFAAE4C66.jpeg the one veiled has a different organ and seems rounder which tells me female? All have hearty appetites (especially the female) two photos of the female49B139A8-C949-42AF-AB0D-3D8FDBB88C4C.jpeg99DCA79B-1832-43B9-9561-0E39D612B566.jpeg a few smudges on the glass from dogs doing nose print art as well as water changing i have yet to wipe off, sorry about that.

Another surprise pairing now in the spare angel tank with more surprise eggs. This tank grows algae like crazy and needs an overhaul on looks (wall cleaning, different substrate and color) params are stable angels are happy and healthy I’m just nitpicking.

Bit of an update and pairing change this time the Plat bred with another but not exactly sure what it is I just call her sunrise but they laid a ton of eggs which about 75% or so has hatched. Pictures of parents and the wigglers.
