All the world is in a rage.Like a robin redbreast in a cage.....We get a few robins around here but not many blue jays.There is a pair of cardinals that I see in my yard pretty regularly.They are cool looking.
Agreed. You have to really scare the parents for them to leave and even then they may attack you or build another nest and relocate the chicks.
I remember a baby blue jay falling out of its nest at my aunts house and I placed it under the tree. I had picked it up and handled it also, was like 10. The mother bird took it back to the nest. This has happened multiple times, most recently at a friends with a baby robin.
Btw, cute little chicks!! I love being able to see them grow up.
