How are all the gars doing? Any update?

I had a power outage the other day when I was not at home. Came home and they lost all color and didn’t look good. But did a 50% wc. Then another 20% yesterday and they are looking and feeding back to 100%.

My water is testing all crazy though still. But I dumped quite a bit of prime in there so I think it’s measing my api texts up. It always seems to do that. But I’ll do a 10-20% change every day until levels even out how they’ve been.

My new 350g (if their quoted build time is correct) will be finished tomorrow! So After freight I’m hoping to have it set up in a week and start cycling. Can’t wait to get them in a nice huge tank

Does your Cuban swim around or mainly just chill in one spot? Because my Cuban does not swim around like my tropical gar. It always chill at the top.

he swims around. Not as active as the tropicals. But definitely gets in the mix throughout the day. He’s become a very aggressive eater. I feed in seperate areas to get them separated. Other wise he will bite the smaller tropical (which is still 2” larger than he is)
