If you knew your ass was gonna get eaten, wouldn't you try to "blend-in"?:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

LOL!

May have lasted this long, but still interested to see how much longer it can go for 'undetected'.

actually in the wild the juvi piranhas, pacus and SDs do shoal in groups to avoid get eaten as well as they get that extra fin nutrition from the SDs
nothing uncommon or odd just the thing they do in the wild ;)
had seen this on discovery channel when they did a great story on piranhas by nigel marvin
they had discussed a lot of good info on pranhas not the usual crap about Ps being man eaters and BS
and so many different types of Piranhas were also explained about and shown in the wild

Ive read that in the wild you can find shoals of silver dollars and pacus in with piranhas, nature works in cool ways.

as far as fish go, they are all pretty closely related, anyway. aren't they?

piranha in the wild aren't vicious, random killers they get credit for. they are more of fin and scale-pickers. only really going to town on the severely handicapped (granted, their fin and scale picking does sometimes cause these handicaps). I used to keep 3 piranha with an O, Pleco and JD in a 75. they got along for over 2 years (then I moved and left the tank with my roommate, don't know the final outcome). anything else we would try to keep in there was summarily made lunch.

your silver dollar will need some veggie matter in its diet BTW
