Very pregnant hystrix...

Dont know if this was already asked but...
What is your "Matting Magic"?
Temp, PH, Water Change schedule, feedings schedule, food etc...
Im sure there are a lot of Hystrix owners/admirers that are curious

I don't know about magic, but I know keeping larger groups helps.

I currently have a group of 2 males and 3 females.(of the females only 1 mated so far) Because of this I hope to add some more Hystrix once I have moved to my new house.

I usually feed twice a day. Once granulate, and in the evening frozen food - Smelt and shrimp.

In the current tank I refresh half or more of the tank twice a week. The tanks are about 250gallon so that boils down to 125 gallon per cleaning. Again once moved these rays will get 500gallon tanks which will give them more room and give me less work with cleaning.

Finally after I don't know how many days(a lot) she got 3 pups this morning. She is still carrying pups on both sides so there should be more.

The pups are untill now fullgrown and very healthy, I will post pictures of them as soon as I relocate them to their new tank.
