Very recent conclusions on Colubrid Species

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've only read the first excerpts and analysis of origin by darwin, so please pardon any mistakes made about evolution. By natural selection, I go by with the supposition that most colubrids will officially develop venom in the future, due to natural selection. Venom is by some extent more effective than constriction. Perhaps those in captivity, if line bred, will lose venom. I'm just assuming!

Good discussion going on, you experts! keep it up!

As for Colubrids, my favorite is the Boomslang, but thats one where their are no doubts as to its venomous state of mind......

I came very close to getting one of those once but in captivity they lose their nice colors unless they get exposed to natural sunlight which is obviously impossible without the risk of letting it escape and they are really toxic and really fast... cool snakes though.
