sorry to here that mate
if i was you i would concentrate on stocking with expensive and very sellable fish while u have your income, so when/if you do loose your job each fish you sell will make you a fair amount.
try to find out what the most expensive fish are to sell to lfs's etc... that are breedable in captivity and start from there

cheers ron , thats kind of what i am upto now , obviously snakehead prices are going to sore when the ban comes in , so i have set some tanks up for them to breed , i have allready found :
channa ornatipinis
channa pulchra
channa orientals
channa sp. assam
channa aruanti
channa sp five stripe

at least that way i keep with my interest of channa but just concentrate on the smaller species and try and breed them , i am also setting tanks up in my spare room , and i am looking at other things to breed , may be able to get some zebra plecs , and some other l numbers , may try some of the rarer cichlids , just depends what i can find
