well i got a call this morning from my bro telling me my lmb, new bluegill, and pleco were dead! and my albino channel and second new bluegill were looking pretty bad. doing test on water now. im not sure what went wrong? rearranged decor for new additions, and did 50% water change. :(

ok got test done and here are the readings: ph-7.8, ammonia-0ppm, nitrite-0.25ppm, nitrate- between 40-80ppm. i got my albino and bluegill in my 55 for now and their swimming fine now. its crazy because three crawfish and two small feeder bluegill seem to be fine. damn this sucks. had the lmb and pleco for almost a year, from 5" up to size at death 10" lmb and 9" pleco. i guess can i get any suggestions on what happened? i know the nitrate is high but why?:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

my substrate in this tank is play sand. im wondering if when i did the water change and decor rearrangment if too much of the sand got kicked up and released too much poop gases.

well the only piece of decor i added yesterday is a small piece of wood. the lmb did eat a blugill lastnight, but the bluegill and pleco nothing. but actually the pleco did clean it as soon as it went in.
