I would say the majority of people who keep fish in the UK buy them in shops as the distance travelled is only small. In the states a different story.
If it was the case Dan would be a rich man by now, he's getting there though!

Maybe where you are in London, I agree, but outside London most LFS are crap. Honestly, the maidenheads around the south are better than the rest.

When I lived in Brighton, wildwoods was like a 1 hour 45 minutes trip each way, wholesale tropicals a bit less, so getting fish shipped was often a better and cheaper method.

Though let's say, if I lived near those 2 places, I would almost never get fish shipped unless it was something impossible to get there. It's exciting opening polyboxes of cool fish But I still prefer going in and choosing the fish I want.

Dan - when I move back to England in a few months like I said, I'll order an armatus and a few bichirs from you
