This morning i went down to feed my frontosa tank.. took my camera with me with plans of taking some new pics of my Ck.. but as i was feeding my fronts and severums i noticed a tiny pleco near by my common pleco.. the baby was sucking on a piece of carrot.. i actually thought i was seeing things.. so i got my camera..lousy pics but you can see him, he is gold and striped looking with a high fin.. i have no idea where he came from or what kind he is.. :nilly:but since i love plecos i am just thrilled... i have to get better pics so Davo or Wyldfya can ID.. this is a great morning:D He is maybe an inch and really nicely marked..The worst part is i wish i could glue myself to the tank and watch.. but i have to be up here for electrician thats coming any minute..

Looks like what is commonly called a Candy Stripe Pleco. Not sure of the scientific name. He won't get much bigger than he is right now.

These things are amazing. They hide for the most part and you never see them. I've got one that is at least 10 years old. There have been several times that I flat out forget I even have him only to catch him swimming about the tank every couple of years.

I've even moved him from tank to tank before without realizing it. I'll move a large rock with caves and he just comes along for the ride. 6 months later I see him swimming in a tank that I didn't even know he was in. I suspect that's how it got in your tank. Just came along for the ride.

That is so funny ..thanks for the replys,, not much bigger then this.. gosh what size was he as a baby.. your right no wonder we did not see him.. haha thanks!!:D :D
