all set, the tank is saved, it's just ugly, so I need to fix that.

glad you got sorted doing stuff like that is easily done.

i made a school boy error on my tank with my fish listed below last week and left the heaters of for 2 days after a 50% water change the temp went down to the 70's i could easily have lost all my fish.
 
Well if your sig is correct than you have other tanks with established bacteria. Just take something from there and use that. A handful of gravel, a filter pad/media or something.
