What about if I have two 300 watts with the sensors right next to each other and one reads 82degrees and the other reads 78 degrees...is there any accounting for that

If you mean reason for that. I would say your sensors must be off.

I would just adjust for the 4 degree difference. But that's just me.

Yea thats what I am doing I have them set so they both come on to those levels ...Im hoping the tank is hanging around 80 degrees
