Vibram Five Finger shoes

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I run a pretty consistent number of hours a week and tried the Vibram for a couple of days and know a couple of persons who once owned them. They are 'ok' for smooth pavement or any smooth running surface. They can probably be worn up to a max of half marathon but be ready for some serious hurt. Don't even try to wear them when trail running. I myself wouldn't wear them for longer than 10K run. I think its great for walking, brisk walking, or an easy pace run. Other than that, stick to minimalist shoes with thin soles.

Me and just about everyone else in my BUD/s class wore these on our off time. Good recovery shoe if you've been running 10miles a day and want something comfy to talk around in strech out the muscles in ur feet

Why not just go barefoot?

because none of us wanted to walk threw all the gravel and crap at the compound barefoot.

I've been wanting a pair of these for a while now. I'm a barefoot person. Hate shoes. If anything, I wear flipflops. Plus my feet are too big to wear regular shoes and drive my car, so it's a pain to have to take my shoes off/on every time i get in and out of the car. These would be perfect. Ima get the black ones though, so they're less obvious I'm wearing them. the two tones ones are kinda creepy looking.

I Can do sandals but not 5 toed socks and shoes. The price of the shoe is one thing but on top of that you have to buy 5 toed socks. Just a money pit
