Oh, and to answer your questions, no it wasn't tough. They had actually grown up together with several other dovii, RTM, and Jags. Initially the female Jag paired up with a male Jag I had and they mated a few times. I recently got rid of him and reintroduced her into the cichlid tank with the male dovii and they hit it off pretty quick. No new updates, unfortunately(see my previous post). Sorry about the loss buddy. I just picked up 3 manguense today and I'm looking for my female dovii this weekend. The jags are all around 1.5 in. so I've got some time. Size wise the female dovii seemed much closer to a jag so I decided to go with it instead of a big nasty male, hopefully I can land one and I won't run into any post breeding violence. I'm also going over to flowerpowers thread to check for updates. Rock.
 
Thanks for the well wishes too. If I can get everything to go well you are welcome to as many fry as you'd like. Maryland is an easy drive to where i'm at, southeast Pa.
