Video: My RTC in his pond at feeding time

I finally got around to taking a vid of my RTC in his pond. I really need to work on the lighting/glare for future videos, but this will do for now. Enjoy:D

He's adorable! Mine didn't start eating from my hand until we put him in the pond, but he was much larger. I didn't know they'd handfeed when this small. Great job and beautiful fish!
 
The pond is roughly 5 x 8 with 2.5ft of water.

He's 5 months old now, about 18". I started hand feeding him when he was in his growout tank. At 2-3 months old he was eating from my hand!

The majority of his diet is raw shrimp, 4-5 each day. Thank God for Costco!!!!
Usually in the mornings he gets some frozen bloodworm and beafheart cubes, but that will stop soon, costing waaay to much for that!
 
Try some fish fillet and squid... these are pretty cheap foods, and they provide some variety. Also, consider pelleted foods.

grab beef heart from the supermarket... you can clean it better and its only a around 6 bucks for a whole heart...
