Video of my Royal Green Terror.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for the replies guys! Right now I just feed him New Life Spectrum, Krill and some Hikari. That is the way he gets everytime I walk by the tank (seriously) I think he is insane. I am not usually the type to aggrevate my fish but I seem to do that anyways just by walking by the tank!

Wow I love him!! I have a single male GT, he has been living by himself in a 45-gallon aquarium..

He is so shy I cannot stand it.. When I bought him 2 years ago I gave him a fake plastic log to hide in.

Well he is now just shy of 11 inches from his nose to the tip of his tail and all he does is hide.

If you make a sudden movement he hides, I looked at your post TODAY because yesterday I revamped his whole tank.

Changed his gravel from black to natural color, removed his log so he cannot hide, heavly planted the tank with fake plants, still have the black background on the tank.

I have no idea why he is so mental... Had him since a baby.. I've seen more aggressive oscars..

Gonna post some pictures in a few days once he gets used to no log to hide in. I thought after a few years he would outgrow his constant hiding, but I guess not.

I actually got to the point of wanting to get rid of him, but I will feel bad knowing he will die a slow death in one of my LFS's.

If I had room for another tank I would pick up a JAG, that is what I really wanted, but at the time I just couldn't find a nice one.

Here is an older pic of him..

That's too bad about him being shy. He is a very nice looking fish but GT's are weird like that. Some are very outgoing, some are aggressive and some are very shy and passive.

Nice GT.....can't figure out why he hasn't destroyed the Africans in there....:screwy:

Ha ha me too. I've been pretty lucky so far. He doesn't show much aggression to the other fish though I think they pretty much know that he runs the tank.
