Video of my Umbees.

I dont know i guess it would depend on the type of fish they are with. I tied some around driftwood in my argentea tank and he tore at it. You can also order flame moss on Amazon.com i have some of them in there with him and he doesnt bother it im thinking cuz its more secured.

The stuff is pretty cool im using it in a 10 gal wrapped around dw and also trying to make a carpet out of it. Will pm you some pics so to not derail the thread further.

Well crap, my big "male" umbee is guarding eggs. That can't be good. :(

Surely out of eight umbees one of them is a male. :(

Another short video I took.

It's a great looking tank and the big Dovii was a beast.

I have to ask what are your Nitrate, Nitrite and Ammonia readings like with such small and infrequent water changes.

I haven't done water tests in years other than after unexplained deaths or cycling tanks. The plants (weeds) seem to do their jobs. On a 210 gallon tank with a few small fish water changes aren't necessary as often. My fish generally manage to live full lives and they are always healthy so it seems to work for me. :D

It seems that I lose most of my monsters during extended power outages. I run battery operated air but not much I can do about the heat.

I was able to find a male umbee about an hour away from me that I will be picking up later today. Hopefully one of my females and the new guy kick it off.

Updated video. It's kind of funny, my "female" ended up being male and the "male" that I bought ended up being female. Funny how things work out.
