You got a great fish... But what is the size of the tank it is living in?
I got 3 of them about 12" in a 151G Tank, and they seems happy... At least if I give them enough food... They are like big strong removalers.....
I do not want to judge you, but it seems like your presious fish, have a tight cage...
But i guess you know the fish better than me.

that was my big redline snakehead....
he died a while back

he was in a 4 foot tank...i resued him from a 30gal tank... but he died on me and a month or 2 later... i got a 6 foot tank

but its better off he died now because he still had plenty of growing to do
