So I guess my question really is, why is my female continuing to develop her nuchal hump with a male of the same sp. In the tank?

I've seen a pair of female midas ( a real pair of females) that had huge nuchal humps. and I've seen a few other female midas with pretty big nuchal humps while being in the same tank as their baby daddy.

It won't be long before they breed!!! I would be thinking about a new home for the dempsey!
They won't give you much notice and then he will be dead. The convict might live if he has some hiding spots but he may eat some of the fry.
