Sorry but neither fish pictured is a Synspilum. The original pic looks like a Guttulatum to me but could be a hartwegi. Def not a synspilum. There are many Vieja hybrids out there so it could be that as well. The last pic there looks to me like a bifasciatum/synspilum cross which are fairly common. I back this up with 30 years of raising and breeding most of the Vieja group.

guttalatum would be way off imo.

that line resembles that of a juvi 'wegi sonny.

if it's a synspilum, it's pretty damn kinda white.

Yep I would say hybrid maybe syn/bifas or melanurus (however you spell that)
