There are variations in the species but I dont think yours is a breidohri

A bunch of those aren't Vieja/Paratheraps...

I think the chart includes other genus's that are closely related to vieja. Theres a article somewhere about a simple system for cichlids

It is a Breidohri. A very nice one.

the one in the chart is not a Breidohri. And the Hartwegi on the board does not look like a Hartwegi.

his is actually a very good representation 0f a breidorhi,the chart has a few mistakes, godmani,intermedia are not veija.

microthalmus is wrong also,the rest seem to be ok,some dont look like they should but they are close.

my vieja Synpilum(which just passed away over the week end)

i have a texas/veija synspilum and they are really nice fish, they have not taken on any of the mothers colours though i will take some picks and put them up soon.

It would be nice to have a sticky with a good reference to Vieja. I think there's too much disagreement with the information on this thread to use it though.
