First off, I am sorry to even post this, there are a million of them, and I know I could just wait for a few more months and a lot will be answered. They were sold as synspilum, but as they have grown and started to color up I am starting to think they are something else. The colors seem off, and they do not look like younger synspilum I have seen. They have very heavy red and blue speckling, with a lot of red on the fins. Take a look and tell me what you think. Once again I am sorry to post this same old ID please post.

One way to tell Bifas is that they have a dark area above the lateral line. as in the photo below

The name "bifasciatum" literally means two lined. Bi - two fasc - band. I really don't see that in these fish, though they are still small.
