I would agree with zonatum/coatzacoalos. The red in the tail paired with the light blue coloration is what makes me think that. My guttalatum had a darker body color, even from a pretty small size. Fish in my avatar is my guttalatum, he was probably around 6-7" at the time.


Hello, thanks for the info, did a bit of research and i hope they are Paratheraps coatzacoalcos, they look awesome. We will find out one way or another as im keeping both and growing them out so will probably create a grow out post and/or update this thread with pictures.

They look more like fenastratus in these new pics.
It's really hard to say.As said before I don't think you will ever know for sure with so many hybrids about.
