Thanks, I keep changing it every 2-3 weeks. I think I finally have it right now.

damn a blackbelt with other cichlid friends? Those are some sweet shots, your tank looks awesome and your fish look flawless. Even the rock work you got in there is awesome. I especially like that oscar which means a lot coming from me because I do not like oscars. I'd enter that shot you took of him for photo of the month. What kind of camera do you use? Off camera flash or just point and shoot?

I am using a Canon 20D with either a 50mm f1.8, 90mm f2.8, or 28-135mm lens. For these shots I did not use a flash, I turn on my T5 lighting above the tank and shoot in aperture priority mode (I try to get the smallest aperture, lowest ISO setting and keep the shutter around 1/50s). Some times I utilize a flash from above the tank, but the colors don't seem quite as real when I do.
