i have vieja synspilum and vieja maculicuada(blackbelt) and dont have to many problems,except the blackbelt is a chaser,no real damage to other fish just chases them alot,but i i really like these fish i am in the process of getting a pair of vieja argentea for my tank in the living room(love these fish,but just like any other cichlid they vary in personality some are outgoing some are not)but in my experience they are great fish,here is my blackbelt.
