I would move the problem cichlids and let those spectacular Ragani breed....

Sp. 'coatzacolcos' can be very aggressive cichlids, infact this Rio Grande population has been the most aggressive Paratheraps sp. i've kept so far and they aren't fully grown yet. Other keepers have reported a more placid behaved cichlid, but these have been the Rio Junapan population. I have no idea how Rio Carolino fish behave.

I'll give them another week before i say bye bye to the coatz.

nice fish can these guys go with cichlid like Festae and Salvini or are they to mellow

Personally i think regani are a bit laid back and never seem to get the upper hand over other Vieja/Paratheraps sp. I think regani shine through and develop better if perhaps the only conspecific in the tank. Salvini will be fine and make a good combination in a large enough tank, as these live together in the mighty Rio Coatzacoalcos. I have no experience with festae, so cannot comment.

It is always a pleasure to see your tanks, the landscaping is awesome!!!, Next time I visit my relatives in UK (Harrow) I would really enjoy a tour of your fish room.

Nice vieja sir. Congrats.
