Very beautiful fish, relatively peaceful - males can get a large nuchal hump.
Watch out for fin damage from fighting, etc. - their fins can be permanantly damaged!
Not to hard to breed....
as for what they're like, similar to redhead cichlids in temperament. they can be very aggressive or rather peaceful in large tanks. it just depends on the specimen you get and wether or not you try to breed them. they get big (~12-14") so they'll definitely need a roomy tank. I'd feed them a wide variety of different types of foods from meaty foods to veggie foods to give them a well rounded diet.
