I just aquired one of those in a trade very nice loves to chase my BP but not arggressive which is nice good color on this in the photo!

Always liked these vieja but was afraid it was to aggressive for my geos, what geos is yours with?

Well i have him with red head tapajos but they are kinda scared of him since he is ten times their size ...lol however i havent seen any fights cuz my brother inlaw told me that this fish is very friendly towards small fish. I also keep him with 8 oto catfish and he didnt eat any of them...but they were moved to my 30 gallon planted java fern tank...

Yep true...but he kinda hates me since i dropped him when i first introduced him to the tank...was kinda funny and stupid at the same time...dropped him about 4 feet and hit the tiled floors pretty hard...all u see was my bro-inlaws eyes...LMAO...priceless...didnt have a net big enough so i used my hands...

Well the problem is that i didnt want it to happen but it just did...when he was first introduce in the tank the BP was all over him...my bro-inlaw called her a whore ..i guess she havent done it in a while...lol...i dont know she lost her husband a while back when my jardini shred his fins to pieces as he died slowly after that took the jar out into a 100G bucket and left them alone but he couldnt eat or swim...so yeah

Nice looking fish but i would have expected more colouration if breeding. Is it possible for them to have a succesful spawn?

Forreal i dont have a clue...lmao...i was planning on breeding my geos but now once he is in there the alpha male just went blah!...he is still flaring up to his wify but never spawn so i hope he does!...he is about to spawn again with the BP but i am not sure if he wants to tho?? cuz he been sitting there while her tube is down...expecting a spawn tomorrow or this weekend however she lay her eggs in weird places so i doubt there will be fries...

I would if i could...you know how parents are!..lol...cant get a bigger tank than a 75g so their wont be any chance of breeding him with a pure female but in the future maybe

Thank you but he doesnt chase anyone but tries to get away from the BP...i guess she doesnt know when to quit annoying him...LMAo

thanks i want his face to be redder but it only happens when he is sleeping or when the lights are off...i dont know i guess the white sand wash his color somewhat...

yeh i think this is true. Substrate will play a role in your fish's colour, you can change to darker substrate or add scattered black pebble patches on the floor. i think it could help..
