This question might be a bit redundent for some of you (sorry), so I will make it quick. Recap... I have a 5ft 110 Gallon, As of now stock list is 2 syns, 1 JD, 1 cactus pleco, 1 syn decorus.

Are their any smaller SA/CA cichlids I could add to this tank? I want the syns to be the star of the tank, but just for a little extra movement and personality a smaller group of something might be nice. Talk me in, or out of it please, or am I already out of room? Thanks for looking and thanks for any help, can't wait to hear from you guys :)

how about HRP's? they have a few varieties,leusitic,regular,marbled,or cutteri,sajica

with 2 syns ur overboard as they are big fish and should have all the personality u need. I dont think that stock will work long term think about getting a 125 for that extra foot

Do you think the tank size will work for just the syns, if the others go? I am trying to think long term, I have lost the short term game so many times I now have a basement full of tanks and I'm not sure how much more the wife can handle...

well close to a year ago i had a 12 inch and 9 inch syn in a 75 and they were fine. You may be ok with just them and a bottom feeder but the jack will have to go

I was thinking about them, they are all around me, and they don't get too large. I'm just scared that I have already run out of room.

the longer tank would help somewhat.120 is 60x24x24? i know what you mean, about too many tanks.i am up to 5 now.the larger fish really need space,or need solo tank.i was unaware that your syns are a pair.agreed the JD would take a beating, big dithers may work.the smaller cichlid idea could help spread aggression and help bond the pair

No, youre already overcrowded with all those fish at full growth...especially in what is probably a 100g or 120g tank, not 110.

Ive never seen, nor can I find, any 5ft tank being a 110g.

A 120 is 60x18x24

If it were me, id get rid of the JD and just make sure I over filtered and hope that the syns are m&f.

I will have to measure the tank, I always just trusted it was a 110, because that is what I was told. I guess on the bright side, I know the Syns are a pair.

Tank measures 60x18x24, so a little bigger then I thought. Not sure if this changes anything, I still might a little full.
