keep the syns, get a smaller pleco if you must. lose the jd and the sydontis, consider a 3 to 1 male to female ratio of small to medium cichlids. firemouths, yellow acaras, kribs,etc. anything that will not exceed 5". it could work based on the temperament of your syns. when/if they decide to breed the true limits of your tank will be tested
