vieja synspilum

120 is a bit small...? no? i dont have the 150 yet, im only allowed cuz its for the festae lol!

As far as Vieja sp. go they're on the peaceful side.

I have three in with H. carpinits "Escondido", A. festae, V. argentea, A. citrinellus, and A. sp. "gold saum" with no issues. They can hold their own but don't like to start crap.

I'd say go for it. I really like mine.

does it matter. male or female?
 
I have one and he or she is awesome. I got it around 1.5" maybe 3 months ago, hes close to 4.5" been growing pretty quickly. He doesnt cause any problems with my other fish (see stock list below). Both my dempseys push him around, as well as my gold severum. He goes head to head with my Male HRP though who is half his size.

I say buy it!!
 
ok got it today, i think its a bifas, more like 9" to me.
 
are the vents on these the same as other cichlids, male is more pointy and thin, even not at breeding time?
 
I have 3 of them with 3 festae and Ive had 0 problems.... Do it.... They are great fish...
