Sad to hear mate, stick with the hobby though as although death is an inevitable part of everything, the time spent prior to it is always rewarding.
Bloat is a very hard disease to treat properly and in most cases by the time it's properly diagnosed and treated it's too late. My experience with fish keeping is that once a fish stops eating for more than a couple of days and shows no interest in food and typical lethargic behavior, there isn't much hope. With that said, I've only ever had juveniles stop eating and pass away on me.
