You tell me, does it look like these two wanna make babies??
I've had these two since April and they've gone from about 1.5" to 7"M and 6"F, and I'm guessing on the male and female thing.. assuming that the larger one is the male(small hump) and the smaller one is the female.
This 'spawing' stuff started about a week ago, locking lips with my BP's, and being very defensive about this little area they seem to like. The male started digging alot, and changing color rapidly, to a white-ish color around his face.. almost as if when he got upset he became flushed. Also, the female's colors have become more vibrant than ever, coming close to the spectacular colors of the male... because of all this new aggressiveness in the tank... I gave my BP's away to a fellow member

So you guys need to let me know if you have any experience with any of this stuff. I have been trying to provoke the spawning but trying to cool the tank down a bit.. but have not been to successful with that
. Tap water runs just about the same temp as my tank... I even tried melting lots of ice in some water and then pouring (slowly of course) that into the tank.. My last attempt was about 5g of cold water, that doesn't sound like very much now that I see myself typing it!! LOL! So suggest to me, what I can do to get the balls roll'n here!!!
