Yeah they got the only batch thats in the US.... which was 115. 35 went to someone else after they got them and they are selling them for 80 US. plus shipping and handling... they have 38 left and they are keeping 8 of them to match up and breed. I have a pair and will be trying to breed them as well. They need pure spring water and 100% water changes every 2 days. 80 degrees and lots of humidity. I saw them change from a light emerald green color to a dark grey color within a minute or so. the underside is a bright yellow and the skin is very smooth. They also sit on leaves just above the water and put they're butt just at the water line to soak the water up. The urine is pure ammonia so they kill the water quality pretty fast. they only eat at night and at such a small size are consuming 4 full size crickets a day. They've doubled in size in 2 weeks and are growing fast. They are taking extremely good care and haven't lost any of the batch they received. If anyone wants any i'll talk to them and see what we can do.
Well this species doesn't even have a scientific name yet. The breeder is producing quite a bit and will be seeing more in the US. I'll be doing alot of research and try to get in contact of the right people. Also there is a zoo here that is going to set up a tank and try to breed them as well.
And apparently gender is hard to tell with the size... but males have a more pointy snout than the females... tried to pick out two that where different... we will see what happens.... i just might have to get more... keeping them in a 20 gallon for now then going to switch up to a 80 gallon eventually.
