First thing you do with pickups is pull the cab off which can be done in 2-2.5 hrs with a compitent person
I keep my mouth shut til now.
I owned a Chevy for 9 months once. Changed the starter 7 times, fan belt twice, distributor cap twice. What a horrible car to keep running.
Owned a Ford(Mustang) for 25 years. 2 starters, did change the distributor but switched it to a racing distributor(first one was still working). I think I did change the belts once or twice just cause I wanted new looking ones. I wish I still had it. The gas cost me more on it then maintenance.
I'll do the same. For now... Just as I was drifting off to sleep I got the notification, so I won't start anything yet.
Good German cars aren't meant to be worked on by yourself, they are meant to be taken to specialists to keep the service book complete.
