To ask about using 1/8" glass on a 150 tank tells me that maybe you shouldn't be building a 150g tank yet. Try building a 20g tank 1st and use that 1/8" glass for it. I have 15 gallon tanks, with 3/16" glass that are only 12" high.
Height of tank alone should not determine the glass thickness. You need to factor in safety. A 10 gallon tank won't do much damage to a home if it breaks, but a 150g tank can do much damage to a home or even kill a person if the glass breaks.
